Default Mitchell Arms AE

Hey,

Finally got my profile up (it's sparse, I'll work on it). Just wanted to let some of the folks who helped me out a while back (Rick W. for the manual) and the others who pointed me in the right direction while looking for magazines to see what I've been playing with. The grips are my 1st attempt, I'm still working on those. I do have a question, can anyone tell me what type or make the front sight post is? It's black with a gold dot on the end, the rear sight has been changed from a "v" to a "u". This modification was already done when I purchased the weapon.

Thanks, Joe KY

Both Marbles and King made gold dot front sights for Lugers that I know of. Probably are others.

Hey Rick!

Yeh, I've had a ball with it so far and a large part of it was playing with the grips. On the Mitchell, the overall size seems to be about a 1/16" or so larger than the old WW lugers. It's been kind of neat comparing it to my 1937 Krieghoff. Which leads me to the sights - night and day! The gold dot is so much faster, it's great.

Take care, Joe KY
