Default is this MG ammo?

found this stuff while shopping for 8mm Mauser ammo at a local gun store in Kalamazoo; it was advertised as being 8mm and for mauswds but research has lead me to a site that said not to shoot it in your Mauser. looking to see if anyone else might know more about the writings? says MG in the background. thanks!

It is heavy ball ammo and the box does say for machine guns, but it is perfectly safe to shoot in a K98k. It is not loaded any hotter. The "Für MG" has more to do with the cartridge case prep so that they feed properly in a machine gun.

It's likely a corrosive primer if from 1939, so scrub the barrel with ammonia before cleaning it if you shoot it.

The ammo is made in 1940 and should fairly reliable. Yes, the Zdh88 is definitely a corrosive primer.
