Wildfires
Picture taken from my house of a 15000 acre timber fire. As I post this it is making a tremendous run to the East hence the smoke column. We also have 4 other even larger fires around us. Not a real problem where my house is except the ash and constant valley of smoke. Bill

Stay safe... My sister & brother-in-law's land was burned up just NW of Niarada in Spring Hollow a few years back. They weren't on it, but it broke their heart. But then they seeded Grizzlies up there also.

Hi Bill,
We were subject to a mandatory evacuation of a week in the Four Mile Canyon Fire, the most destructive in Colorado's history, a few years ago. Over 160 homes were lost. It was a very anxious time for us as the fire came within a mile of our home. I hope that you continue to have favorable winds. Best regards, Norm |

Our problem here is thunderstorms. We are now considered the lightning capital of the US.
A severe storm last night fried both the TV and the cable box, despite surge protectors. When a bolt hits under 100 feet from your home, you KNOW it! |

Also here in Italy so far we've got a rather dry Summer, so fires have started all over the place, but especially in the South and in the Centre of the country, many of them were set by criminals and by teenagers completely without brain!

It's amazing how many fires are going on at any one time.
Google Earth has a view, but I prefer Underground's maps and charts. [URL="https://www.wunderground.com/cat6/where-theres-fire-theres-smoke[/URL] Stay safe - hope you get good clear weather for the Eclipse tomorrow !! |
