Default 1920 commercial DMW grips

Do lugers in the above catagory have grips numbered to the pistol? I have one that the grips are numbered to the pistol and they look original (very worn).
Thanks,
Major Tom

I think the answer is yes and no.

If you post pictures of the numbers on your grips and the pistol, someone may venture an opinion.

The grips in question are at Jim Solomon's being recheckered and finished.
The number 94 is stamped on the inside of each. Font is unknown to me but does not look old style.

Jim has seen many original grips, ask him.

Jim said the numbers stamped on the grips looked like stamped to match the pistol. He didn't like the 'look' of the numbers. But he said the grips were genuine.

Most are not numbered.
