Which book is the best for Sturmgewehr?
Searched Amazon, they listed a few:
(1) "Sturmgerwehr!" by Hans-Diete Handrich (2) "The German Assault Rifles 1935-1945" by Peter Senich (3) "German Automatic Rifles 1941-45" by Chris McNab Which one is the best? Or, if the best one is not listed above, which one is the best? Thanks |

Sturmgewehr! is by far the best at this moment. Pick up the revised edition direct from Collector Grade Publications. You wont be disappointed. Senich's book is also a must have, a lot of great info in that one as well. I might have an extra copy of that one laying around, have to look.

Thanks for the info. I will order those two books. Also will read that site.
Back a couple of weeks ago, there was a MP44 for sale on gunbroker.com, but I was traveling in a foreign country, so I did not call the seller. Also, it's a big ticket item, I thought I'd better view some samples before buy anything... but it's gone now. Will wait next one. They appear on market from time to time. http://www.gunbroker.com/item/679368621 Roughly, how many of these are on Form 4 in the NFA system, any estimate? |

I noticed the one listed by Legacy, it came from Julia. Also noticed a couple of samples in RIAC coming session... will watch the auction without bidding in this coming session though... it's a high value item, I sold many nice C96s to fund a single MP44.. I will do my homework first. Thanks!

The site has a technical problem. They ask a security question, I think my answer being correct, but still fails security check... is this wrong? Rifle=16", Shotgun=18"... I tried converting that to centimeters, millimeters, still not work...
