Need help to identify
Hello I'm new to the Luger and could use some help identifying a certain Luger that has come into my collection of firearms. I did some research and concluded that its a WW1 Imperial German Luger. I was wondering if anyone can help me to identify weather this firearms is in-fact imperial German or what the markings mean. I would greatly appreciate any help on identifying the origins of this firearm. I have attaches pictures of markings.

Hi Joshua,
Welcome to the forum! You have a 1915 dated DWM P08, the standard German side arm during the 1st World War (and much of the 2nd). It appears to be in excellent original condition. Norm |

Welcome to the forum.
It is, indeed, an Imperial German Luger made for the military in 1915 by DWM (Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken). That translates to "German Arms and Munitions Manufacturer". The quality of DWM Lugers in 1915 was top notch and you have a fine example of a WW1 Luger. Does it have any markings on the front or rear grip strap? Some Lugers in 1915 were unit marked. |

Welcome to our Luger forum from Italy.
FWICS you've got a nice DWM, and most of all the finish looks original.
