Insurance Policies
Where do you get insurance for your gun collection?
I'm curious. I put mine under a Valuable Personal Property (VPP) rider on my homeowner's insurance, but the whole process was tedious. The insisted on a bill of sale or recent appraisals (recent meaning within 5 years). I went to a web site called American Collectors, entered everything, got my application submitted and then never heard back from them. Supposedly, they insure antiques, art work, cars and firearms. |

My insurance plan is a very large safe in a separate room. I have an alarm system, live in a very conservative neighborhood where most all are gun folks. I'm at the end of a street with no cross traffic. Police and fire are close to my house.
After all that, the NRA offers insurance through Locton (sp?). Check their website. G2 |

I have two autos insured with American Collectables, but no guns. I don't have a separate insurance policy or rider for my guns.
