1912 ERFURT
I could have an opportunity on a matching 60% 1912 ERFURT ( I did not see it ). My LUGER collection covers WWII...I was thinking of starting a WWI category....There is a regular supply around here of 1915/16/17 & 1918 DWM's.... Not so many pre-WWI Erfurts.....
Any opinions on this one... Thanks, kidvett |

If all original and matching, a 1912 Erfurt would be a worthwhile addition to your collection, IMO. While at 60% it's not in the best condition for a top-flight collection, it would be a good representative piece and decent 1912 Erfurts are not that easy to find.
I like Erfurts in spite of a reputation for a second-rate finish when compared to DWM Lugers. |

Kidvett and Doubts
My main area of collecting interest is Imperial German military Lugers. Your idea of a new section is excellent. Prewar Erfurts are much harder to find than prewar DWM's. Jan |

Mr Still, I'd like to thank you for your professional opinion on the 1912 ERFURT. I wasn't sure about getting the gun at first however after reading your posting I'm going to call the owner to close the deal. I'll post a picture as soon as I get my hands on it.
Thanks again, kidvett |
