Opinion on Gunsamerica 1939 42 Code Luger
Hi all,
I'm very new to Lugers and am asking for opinions on this one. I have read through the archived messages and looked at several online Luger dealer offerings to get an idea of price. I was thinking of buying the Luger offered here. I have emailed the seller and am awaiting a reply. I have asked for first right of refusal. The price is in my range, but I want to make sure that I am not paying too much for what it is. Now, the questions I have asked the seller are: 1. Is the finish original? 2. Are ALL parts that are to be numbered, numbered correctly to the piece, including the grips? 3. What are your terms? Can anyone give me specific questions to ask? I do plan on buying "Third Reich Lugers" By Still. Thanks to all that can help. Semper Fi, Mike 1939 42 Code Luger on Gunsamerica.com |

Mike, Too much ! You can do better if you look around.
That's maybe an 70% gun overall at best. (My opinion.) Talk to the forum members. Ask questions, Read Books, ask more questions. I don't care if you were a Marine. I won't hold it against you.;-) Ron Engineman 2C USN

Ron,
That'a okay, I got a free Pea Coat from ya swabbies when I left!! Thanks for the advice. What would be an appropriate price for this pistol? If I can get the seller to a reasonable price I'll buy it, but I need to know what a reasonable price is. Semper Fi, Mike |
