Default G-41 magazine jam

Any body familiar with the G41 and why the floor plate jams, prevents the complete loading of the ten rounds? I have polished all of the bearing surfaces, and file all of the sharp edges, but the problem still persists. What am I missing? The magazine follower is original and has the waffen proof stamp on it.

Thanks.

There are better places to ask this question such as https://www.k98kforum.com/forums/ww2-g41-g-k43-forum.4/

On another note, the G41 is an expensive/collectable rifle. Filing and polishing parts isn't recommended unless you are trying to kill it's value.

If it can't be fixed, it will be scraped

That sounds a bit harsh

I see that you made it over to the forum I suggested. I'm sure they will be able to help you get it squared away.

Jon, if you get the problem fixed, please come back here and post how you did it. Preferably with pics.

I like off-topic problems. I'm a bit off myself.
