Question Luger Magazines

I have a shooter with a magazine that will not allow me to load more than four shots at one time. I've seen magazines listed by Ajax in Shotgun News (though they aren't listed on their website). Are they any good? Is there another place to get good magazines for a shooter. Since it's a shooter, I'm not really worried about authenticity, but I would prefer they look like originals.

Thanks for the help.

Hey FS, I have used the Mec-Gars and they work very well, as have the Triple-K ones.

I bought the Mec's from Doug here on the forum, the triple-K's I see on e-bay all the time.

They look fine, but my intention is to use a good magazine and put some of GT's magazine bottoms on them, his are superb workmanship.

Send an e-mail to Tom Heller of this Forum and he will probably have what you need in stock for a reasonable price. His e-mail address is <[email protected]>

In addition to repro mags, he may still have some of the East German mags, they are very nice and resemble the originals.

Although Mec-Gar mags are fine, I have a growing pile of semi-functional original mags and I suspect I'm not alone. It seems to me that an enterprizing person with the right equipment and skills could make some money restoring these things. KFS

I do still have most types of original and repro mags in stock at competitive prices. See new Forum classified for new mag prices. Prices of orginals are based on rarity and condition. Tom H.

Thanks for all the responses! I'll check into them next weekend when I get back home (I work out of town).

I did remember seeing somewhere else on the forum that one of the members has a "die" for repairing mag tubes. Sorry I don't remember who it was. Anyway, with only one mag that would need to be fixed, that didn't seem like a reasonable way to go and getting one or more replacements seemed more reasonable.

Thanks again
