Post Swiss Navy

Gentlemen,
Has anyone looked at a map? Switzerland is landlocked. Switzerland does not have a Navy.

Really Brad,

During the course of the thread about Jim Elson's Swiss Navy, I think the Forum concensus was agreed that the Swiss never had a navy.

The gun in question was concluded to be a Swiss rework of an original Navy luger; probably done by a local Swiss gunsmith for, possibly, a member of a shooting club...that is the best conclusion given the attributes of the gun...granted this conclusion is speculative since no historial documentation about the gunsmith was presented on the Forum.

If others have any other ideas about this luger, I would think Jim Elson would appreciate any other ideas...

We also noted that a very similar Swiss luger is shown in the M. Reese book, Luger Tips, revised...and C. Kenyon's up-coming book is rumored to have photos of some more.

Regards,

Pete

Which, of course, begs the question of the possible existence of a Swiss Police Naval Luger variant <img src="graemlins/icon501.gif" border="0" alt="[icon501]" /> &gt;ACK!&lt; must...not...go...there...
