History of the Luger...
I noticed that the "History of the Luger" page here is a slightly edited version, as in shorter, version of the same article on another website. To see the full story go the connection I've included here... History of the Luger

Thanks Johnny..!!!! Let me take a look and update this page - as long as it's the same source without copyright on their website - I'll update this page.... And ask them where they copied "their page" from (which may be more interesting...)....
Thanks again..! |

It is the same history (how many histories can the same gun have?), but it isn't the same article. There are probably several other accounts of the genesis of out favrorite firearm, for example, check out Regnier which is Paul Regnier's site. There is no plagerism involved with any of these "histories", just several individual attempts to provide the Luger enthusiast with a bit of background.

Hi Ron....!!
Well - how many histories??? I dunno, I met the General D. W. M. - and he professed a few.. Why do you ask?? Seriously - Johnny's link is almost a direct "copy and paste". Take a look and give me your thoughts, OK??? Best to you! - John |

Yeah, you are right, it is a copy and paste. Sorry, should have read a little farther and more carefully. Now, who copied whom?

I've been thinking of writing a history too.
This guy had this idea after seeing another pistol, he improved upon it, then DWM (which stands for some german words), made the improved pistol, which they had been making before, and also some Lowe company, (which isn't to say they had low standards) and they made some different variations and now they make some guns out of shiny metal called stainless. Krieghoffs were one of the better reproductions.
