THANKS to Ron Wood
I want to publicly thank my Friend Ron Wood for an act of extreme generosity. He was kind enough to volunteer to send me his very rare and expensive mint example of a Dutch KNIL holster and original rod so that I could pattern the rod pouch and flap to make a new one for a client. He offered to do this with no charge for shipping and allowed me to keep it for however long I needed it. I must say, this is not something everyone in the World would do.
This is an indication to me that the World is not as bad off as we all suspect it is. This is what this Forum and all of us are here for, to help those who need more information. I could not have replicated this complex part without Ron's help, Thanks my Friend...Jerry

Thank you Jerry. That is a very gracious acknowledgement, and you are more than welcome. That is what Friends are for.

I also compliment such generosity and trust when the intention is honest and in good faith. Some people would have taken advantage of the situation to reproduce a holster or component. On the plus side, it will help Jerry expand his knowledge and workmanship to other Lugers collectors who will need his expert services in the future.

I concur wholehaeartedly..... but Ron, before it swells your head too big for a camera lens, I have a request from Big Norm that you submit a new photo with you SMILING for use in the Rogues Gallery and as your avatar... perhaps you could have the photo taken while you are reading this thread.
