Identify Marking in Erfurt holster????
I just tried to post this and dont know where it went.......soooooooo........Can any one identify the ink stamping in this holster flap?????? Gun is 1918 Erfurt and all seems correct except for odd numbering of first mag. Holster has a large crown over III stamped between the belt loops in the normal fashion........ http://forum.lugerforum.com/lfupload/pictures_124.jpg I give up on the pictures again!!!!!!!!!
The ink stamping says 'B. A. XI', about 1/2 x 2".........

I am glad someone is on his toes.....certainly not me. I was dumb enough to post it under Navy Lugers......Can someone move it here and delete the other one????? Is the marking of some importance or scarcity????? The gun is really nice, doesnt have any grip or grip strap wear, bright bore but holster really worked over the side plate hump. One mag has been broken and poorly repaired. I used a fellow to repair a mag bottom for me but lost track of who it is. Can someone put me back in contact w/him???

Actually I'm on my butt. It's raining catfish and bullfrogs so can't do anything else. The marking is very common on Imperial holsters.
Send me a good clear photo of the mag bottom. I can probably repair it for you if it's not goobered beyond help. Ron
