Thompson submachine gun
Hi,
would like to know more about the early Thomson submachine gun! For example the reciever / bolt ? The 1927 model is operating with a 2-piece reciever and this is the point of interest. Are there pictures ore blueprints available? Roland |

Roland, here is a lead for you:
http://www.nfatoys.com/tsmg/ Many Thompson links there... also, I have the M1A1 Thompson receiver blueprints in PDF form... if you are interested. Here you can get the M1928A1 Blueprints: http://www.theinfoexchange.net/blueprints.shtml

John, thanks a lot!!!
great links! The reason of my question is because of the early 2 pieces bolt Nr. 3 and 21 on the picture . Blueprints of that model would be great. http://forum.lugerforum.com/lfupload/tsmgipb1.gif How is that working with that system? On the late M1 bolt it is just the weight of the metal keeping the bolt closed until the bullet is leafing the barrel, but on the early bolt there is that part Nr. 21 which makes me wondering! |
