Default Strawed or not strawed

Hello fellow enthusiasts.

To me english is a foreign language and the phrase "strawed" has got me confused. Could you please explain to me what it means when small parts are strawed? Or even show a picture of a P08 with strawed parts and one with non strawed parts?

Also when did they stop having strawed small parts?

Strawed parts are those that have the yellowish, strawed color. These parts were not blued.

1937 mauser stopped strawing parts on the PO8. Some early 1937 mausers still have strawed parts.
