Dok's cases
I would like to announce that I am now the proud owner of Case No. 3, an artillery case, and it is absolutely gorgeous. After reading John D.'s post about meeting Dok and describing a luger case that Dok had with him, excitement and expectations were high. Well I'm here to say that the case exceeded all expectations. Dok is a master of his craft. The workmanship is superb. He put over 40 hours of handwork into this case, and the love and attention to detail shows. The artillery case presented problems from the very start. The original layout would not work with a longer artillery model, and Dok did not have access to an artillery to get dimensions. After an afternoon of e-mailing back and forth measurements, suggestions and ideas, Dok had come up with a layout. That night he e-mailed me a beautiful graphic of what the case would look like. All of this in just one day! The case is mahogany with a deep red velvet lining, and the Luger and accessories fit like a glove. We are truly fortunate to have such craftsmen as Dok, GT, Ted, Hugh and others on the Forum. Dok, I want to thank you for all your hard work on my behalf, and to tell everyone that if you're thinking of a case for your pride and joy, you cannot go wrong with Dok.
Mike P.S. Thor, the baby is going to look fantastic in one of Dok's cases. |

Re: Dok's cases
Ditto to everything you say MTW. I am the proud owner of case numbers 1 and 2 crafted by Dok for two of my P.08s. My experience was the same as yours and now the forum has two enthusiastic owners of Dok's cases who can attest personally to the meticulousness of his work!

I do not have digital camera or access to one so i'll have to take a regular picture and have it developed, scan it and then post it. This may take awhile so Dok if you still have the pictures you sent me would you please post them i screwed up and accidently deleted them. Also Dok before the list get to long how about putting me down for a navy case. Now hows that for a statement on the quality of Doks work. A repeat customer! Mike |
