1906 Frame ?
I have a very nice grip safety frame with serial number 45488. This one does not have the word Germany stamped under the serial number nor anywhere else on the frame. I bought this about 50 yrs ago and was told at the time it was thought to be from an American Eagle Luger.
Based on the serial number and the lack of Germany as on export models I am curious if this is a 1906. There is no stock lug and all the 08 parts including receivers apparently fit OK. Any help with ID would be appreciated. Thanks. Aldo35 |

The old saying is a picture is worth a thousands words
The SN certainly could be a 1906 commercial luger, we really need a picture for further analysis. Vern |

The grip safety frame means that it is a New Model Parabellum. Absence of GERMANY suggests it is more likely a commercial than an American Eagle.
