…1920 Dated ? Commercial Luger
OK Guys….Help me out here….lately Ive gotten the itch for a 1920 DWM 7.65 Luger….however..I would love to find one with the 1920 date stamped on the top…..and every auction I have looked at ….never has the date on it……what should I be looking for.?…and or is it just that there are no "dated" lugers on auction right now.?..as always….I come to you guys for opinions and help….thanks again…Hans Fischer

why would a commercial be dated? That is what you have to ask...
Dated means Army and in some regards, police - commercial is for civilians

I agree with Ed. There were no 1920-dated (hence, military) 7.65 mm Lugers produced. The term "DWM 1920 Commercial" is a misnomer (although in common use). These were undated 7.65 mm Lugers produced from 1921 - 29.

..1920 dated dwm
OK..Thanks Guys…..so a 1920 Dated DWM would be Army or Police…am I correct.?….and some of those are in 7.65.?……so I guess I better redefine my listing search to just a 1920 dated DWM……….I was stationed at Ramstein Air Base in early 60s..came back with a couple Wehrmacht Daggers and over a dozen Belt Buckles plus other "stuff" so might be hoping to find someone that would want to do some trading………until then….will just keep surfing around…….Thanks again….Hans Fischer
