Police #3 magazines
I have only had a couple of these and recently had the chance to buy one from a forum member.
These are #3 marked magazines, which are a bit uncommon, while they also have either a unit marking, or weapon / rack number on them. Starburst K accepted, there are no other markings on them

Very nice, Ed. You're right --- they are rare.

Landgendarmerie (Gendarmerie) Rural Police were issued three P.08 magazines instead of the two normally issued to Municipal Policemen. Nice magazines.

Ed,
I have a #3 too, but I was never quite sure if it was a fake or not. I always heard of police mags being numbered 1 & 2, but never 3. I'm glad to know these are real police issue. Schupo - thanks for the info. - Geo

I have talked to collectors who said they have seen them marked with a 4
I think I saw a four mag pouch on here years ago? Not sure if army or police. I have had four or five #3 marked mags over the years. |

The # 3 mags were always Haenel-Schmeisser made and were serial numbered and "3" stamped in the police armory.
