I have sent people to this forum when they asked question on a Luger they own. Most have gotten help but one. He was denied membership and I was wondering why
This was the response he received. So my membership/registration to lugerforum.com was cancelled/deleted. "Dear Unfortunately your registration at LugerForum Discussion Forums did not meet our membership requirements. Therefore your registration was deleted. Sorry, LugerForum Discussion Forums" No hard feelings I guess, but would've been nice to know why. Kinda feels like the application process for a San Diego CCW permit. |

The terms of service are listed starting at:
http://lugerforum.com/geninfo.html It's possible that there was an issue with the registration attempt. Without details an admin can't determine what that issue was. Possible things would include selecting a user name that was historically associated with someone that had been banned, or registering with a location that is inconsistent with the registration data. Watch this posting to see if the admin involved follows up personally with you. Marc

it could be that the email they were using is blacklisted - it could be a lot of things - personally I have never heard anyone getting a note like that.
I think John D does approve and disapprove requests. it is always possible that the person chose a user name or email that was unacceptable. Some folks think its funny to choose a user name that is questionable, but we are all guessing. Did they write John and ask if there was a reason they were turned down? Are they a friend of yours, or simply someone you know? |

Just some one from another forum. He has a very nice early P08 commercial.

There was a membership registration a couple of months ago, I do not recall the user name, but the applicant chose a rather vulgur/suggestive user name. That simply isn't tolerated here. When it was requested that they change their user name to something less offensive, they became abusive and belligerent... and John D. stepped in and banned them. That may be the situation which started this thread... we make no excuses for enforcing the rules. This forum enjoys a world-wide reputation for being the best gun discussion forum on the internet for just that reason.
If this was not the situation being discussed, then we would have to know more details to determine exactly what happened. What was the screen name that was used? Did they refuse to register using their full real name (I have banned about 5 or 6 people in the last 15 years for not complying with registration requirements when asked.) In the whole history of this forum, I think only about 40 persons were banned and all for good reason, and out of the more than 12,000 registrants, that amounts to only a miniscule percentage.

I would guess he did not leave a name and / or location
Although it surprises me how many folks use different names at different sites, too hard for me to remember. |

So, we should be seeing a post about an '06 AE soon. It appears matching, and in fairly decent shape, with a curious circle B proof--Brazilian contract?
Oops, the post is there. It's a crown/B, as the pistol is "BHG" proofed. Towards the enco f the 5-digit commercial serial numbers, so new model, maybe very early 30s manufacture?
