Need one more picture- of the stitching on the inside of the holster loops.

Don, I don't have a picture looking inside at the stitching, but if you look at and zoom in on picture 6 you can see the stitching is exposed and this should not be...should just be a slit there...

I am skeptical of the originality of this holster because the wear on the closure strap seems to be a lot, where the holster does not show the same amount of wear.

The strap on the lid that the closure strap is supposed to pass through doesn't look like it has ANY wear on it. In fact it doesn't look the closure strap was ever put through it.

It seems to me to be sporting, below the maker's mark, the infamous "chicken over swastika." It is fainter than others I've seen pics of, but the proportions of the wings give it away. One contradiction is the nice white stitching on a holster that has had the black finish "worn" from the flap and toe.

the 1941 is on a "polished" area as if something was removed prior....

The sellers in "Russia" have found a gold mine- they won't stop; no recourse for a buyer here for sure.

could wear on closure strap be results of user wanting faster access to gun and did not want to be slowed down by puting it under the short strap on the closure lid?

I would think so; very time consuming to work that strap through the flat strap, I'd skip that part too.

Does anyone have a 1941 Otto Sindel Police holster with the inside threads hidden so we can see that a "correct" one does exist? Maybe this company didn't do it that way on that particular holster. The reason I ask is that I have a 1941 that looks very similar to the pictures by corby34.
