New acqusistion 1908 from isolation
My new beauty. She is in unbelievable condition. Matching mag with a ding in the wood and an extra magazine. The stock is authentic and unnumbered. The stock has all of the ingredients of Navy disk and markings. The bluing is hard to imagine. The collector I purchased from obtained from the veteran who had it for 30 years or so and then he had it the remainder of years - kept in his safe. Not displayed in public until now. I believe the pouch is also authentic. A friend has traded with the seller for many years. I am seeking values; as usual. Just to know for now. I will do better photos as time allows.

Did you not just buy it? or have you had it since 2008?
Or is it serial 2008?

Hi Jack,
We would like to comment on your gun but need better photos, all I can tell from the one you have posted is yes, it's a 1908 Navy (long frame, no grip safety). How about sharp close-ups of the barrel serial number, the stock disc and the back side of the magazine pouch? Regards, Norm |

I see nothing on the attaching iron (blued part), but on (say) the top of the board is stamped
O N..28; on the side where the metal disk is this is stamped in the wood: 01 and on the disk is stamped: 0.1 VV. That is what I can offer until I do pictures. I don't know what is needed for a true board but that is what I see. The man from whom I purchased had sold many items to Ralph Shaddick (sp) but said he would never buy from him. Added a not so good picture of rear of pouch. Jack Last edited by CAP Black; 03-06-2017 at 10:16 PM. Reason: spelling, etc. & added a picture of pouch |

The mag pouch is Portugese and the stock looks like an Odin repro made maple rather than walnut.

Now I am asking for opinions of what I have and what they are worth? I don't anything about Odin's but the harware and fit and finish on the stock look superb and German to me. But I don't have the years of experience that you guys have.
Thanks Jack |

It may just be my eyes, or the photo, but the "3" on the underside of the barrel looks "odd" to me, as though it is an overstamp. What does this number look like in person??

Still need a few more pictures, the other side of the stock iron and the sides of the stock, and a close up of the iron disc and left side of the chamber..
