"Built" 1914 type Navy for Jasta2
Bill was looking for a replacement for the navy he sold me a year or so back! He suffered "sellers remorse" and I had accumulated enough pieces to build another shooter for him. Finished it up and test fired this week.
So here are a few pictures for him and you guys to see what a "built" navy means. The navy rear sight is on of the reproductions and is a casting- which is why the surface is a little grainy. I tried to file and polish it down a little, but you can still see the porosity. He will have the only 1921 dated navy clone I know of too boot. Bill can decide to send it for a nice rust blue finish and it will look pretty good, well better anyway. Shoots like a dream now.

Looks wonderful! One of these days Ill be able to afford to get ahold of something like this...I wish I could fast forward from being in school to having lots of money and being able to afford to ramp up my collection. Oh well, life is about the climb, wouldn't be the same if I don't go out and earn it.

enjoy.....
Enjoy every second of school RIGHT NOW! And, don't even worry about the money or toys.... I've never had more than two nickels to rub together, and had a full lifetime of adventure before I hit 27!!!
Early in the game of life... you may only have a beat up old shooter... but it's ALL yours! And even if hundreds more follow, it maybe the best Luger you'll ever have... Enjoy the moment, better advice then that, you'll never get! ...best to you, til...lat'r....GT |

Thank you all for the advice! Unlike many in my generation I am fully aware that there are plenty of life tips and hacks to be found from those older than I and so I at least attempt to take their advices to heart. The wonderful Luger I’ve got now is more a collector piece being all matching, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world right now, it’s my baby.
