D-Day minus 1, only pictures
With My 1937 S/42 background the only known pictures by German Military photographer , years ago I was able to acquire of June 5th 1944 , tomorrow, Caen , Benouville, and the Caen bunker being inspected by some of their famous Generals and an Admiral. I have a few more if anyone is interested in these photos. They are not copies , they came from the photographer’s personal album . As D-Day approaches I thought this would be the first time I’ve ever shown them . Any comments are invited. Im A veteran (71-77) land I’ve visited tearfully at Normandy and the German graveyard in Caen. There were five “ Wahl’s’ listed there , my last name. I have some sand from the beach from below where 9200 pristine crosses and stars of David are in their perfect rows . God bless the USA and our past, and present troops .
