Jerry,

I think you are missing the link to the auction site...I think this is the one you are asking about :

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...item=717547250

And have posted a photo here :

They do look like the coarse, brown checkered grips pictured in R. Gibson's book, The Krieghoff Parabellum, on page 46...which I have scanned for you :

Funy how the seller is selling 1-1/2 pairs and not the full 2 pairs...

Recently I won an E-Bay auction for some brown Vopo style grips...much cheaper at only $ 26.00...

Regards,

Pete... <img src="graemlins/yltype.gif" border="0" alt="[typing]" />

Pete, Thanks...Yes I was missing a link alright. Thanks for providing it for me and your opinion. I have an S code krieghoff that is missing the grips. Thought these might fit the bill, however I am sure someone else will want them more than I do..$$$$$

I called your friend Ed in Kalifornia and we had a nice chat about his holster. Thanks for the referral...Jerry

Jerry,

I, too, will watch the bidding.

I recently saw a nice pair of HK Ritzmann grips go for over $ 250.00...I do not know if these later dated, coarse brown grips go for more or less than Ritzmann's.

Glad you and Ed got together on his holster repair. Ed is a really knowledgeable guy when it comes to lugers and is always willing to spend lots of time with a newbie like me...

Regards,

Pete... <img src="graemlins/yltype.gif" border="0" alt="[typing]" />

Pete, I would guess a little less...I would much prefer to have a pair of Ritzman's grips but if these are what they are purported to be they would work just fine.

Thanks again for the referral. Jerry

Hi Jerry,

Yep - from my end they look correct as well. I wish there were larger photos, especially of the LH panel on the far right (showing the checkering)...

The guy also has a complete HK toggle assy for sale, too. Wonder what year Mauser it will end up installed on - and tried to be sold as an original HK?

John, Yes I wish there were better photo's as well. All of the items he is offering seem to be of very high quality. The HK toggle does have possibilities, does it not? Maybe some little elf will try to fool with Mother nature...

I hate to bring this up again John but since I have your attention , I will try one more time then get off your back about it. I would love to repair your Fathers holster for you. I understand if you do not want to do this but the last communication I had was that you were sending it. Needless to say I never got it. So.....let me know so I can quit thinking about it!

Thank you my Friend for creating and paying for such an enjoyable pastime for me and many others.
