Luger parts gang gone from AA?
Looks like the Copperas TX and dkw boys reputation caught up with them. They are now off of Auction Arms. Must be back to selling out of the garage.

I noticed that! The other night when I was surfing the net (in eugene! ) that the pages on AA and Gunbroker were only 6-7 pages each, instead of the 15 of high priced junk!

Well, I guess you can only piss people off for so long. Karma, what goes around, comes around.
I e-mailed them for a discription on an item. All I got was a lesson on the correct terminology. When I replied that he knew what I meant. He told me not to bid on any of their auctions. I said "not to worry" would'nt happen in my life time. Ron

I've seen some of the examples in person of the Copperas Cove guy. OMG! Absolute junk! He actually should be prosecuted for what he is doing. It's actually fraud.

Russ, I did'nt ask for the reserve.I knew better. I asked if he had the adjustable "blade" for an artillery rear sight. I meant "leaf", but mis-spoke. He came back with "It's called a V-notch, if you don't know what it's called you should find out blah, blah, blah." I said " I think the proper term is leaf. And I don't need a lecture on nomenclature." Then he started barking about how if I can't take advice, then don't bid on any of our auctions. I said " No problem!"
Pretty much of a Jerk. Ron

For all those concerned and I hope there isn't a sole who is, dkf can be found on www.americanfirearmsauctions.com presently, I think he is the only seller. Maybe it's his site? Momma always said, "If you ain't got nuttin' nice to say don't say anything." Guess I ain't talkin'.

Sorry guys you have to remove the comma I put in after the .com in my sentence. Trying to correctly punctuate led to a bad address.

If I recall...this vendor used to go by the Imperial Firearms moniker...(not to be confused with Albert Beliard's Imperial Arms...).
This new auction looks like it is run by an "Imperial Holding Co." from Las Vegas, NV... Curious, as another mentioned, only one (1) seller offering wares...with no seller rating, either. |

Yes, Imperial Firearms is correct. I still have his business card when I was looking at his stuff at a Dallas Market Hall gun show. I haven't seen his stuff in the last few shows. I think people have gotten the hint.
Some of the fine examples I saw were obviously overstamped parts, Lugers that had been re-blued and pitting still in place with no other wear (totally looked re-done), etc. He was trying to pass them off as "original" when I asked about them. He wasn't rude or anything to me when I'd talk to him, but he did have a condesending tone. Last I saw of him, he was on oxygen and didn't look just real healthy. |
