Hello Chris,
Cannot help you on the "0.11451" number stamp...but from the serial number you reported, your 1906 DWM-Swiss luger is in the first 2000 pistols made of that model and was made around 1907. It should have the Swiss Cross/Shield on the chamber... Can you post photos of your luger and the stampings you are questioning...? On Germany Navy lugers (not Swiss guns) one may see an "O-number" stamp, but usually on the grip strap denoting a German Navy property number... I will let others respond with their ideas about your "0.1141" stamping... Regards, Pete... |

Hi Pete, sorry iam very new to lugers, but the one i have does not look like shield but a square like on edge so it looks like a diamond shape with alot of small lines going to each point with the swiss symbol in middle that is why i thought it was a sun burst ??????

Actually, Chris...
I made a mistake when I typed my reply...yours should have the Swiss Cross/Sunburst...these were made first and the Swiss Cross/Shield did not start to appear until around 1909... I should not reply when I am in a hurry and tired... Yours should be similar to this photo : My apologies... Pete... |

Hello Chris,
We would love to see good photos of your 1906 Swiss luger... I suspect you have not gotten a reply regarding your stamping of "O.1141" until folks get a better look at the stamping and its location... No need to buy a digital camera just for this task. If you have a friend with a camera...why not "volunteer" for him/her to help you ? Or you can also use a regular film-type camera and have the film processing house deliver your photos in CD-ROm disk format. Then you can post your photos on the Forum...or if you e-mail them to me at "[email protected]", I would be happy to post them for you... Regards, Pete... |
