Artillary Luger holster
I was out yesterday and my wife wanted to stop at an antique store. I was wondering around and saw an old Iver Johnson pistol that the seller was asking 10 bucks for and when I had the case opened I saw an old holster that was marked 1851 Navy revolver holster 100 dollars. I asked to take a look and as soon as they pulled it out I knew it was not a Civil war or American percussion revolver holster but a WW1 [I think its WW1] Luger Artillery holster.
It was an old hard shell. The leather is very worn but not damaged as in torn, or falling apart. It has the place on the side for the cleaning rod and the holder for the tool in the upper cover inside. Its all there. Some stitching is a bit loose on about 2 inches of the cover to the body of the holster but like I said not falling apart. No markings I can find on the back side. No belt loops like my ww2 holster it has a different configuration sewn on to hold it to a belt. Any way I can run back its not far to take pictures but was wondering if a holster like this has any value over 100 bucks. I don't have an Artillery Luger so no need of it. If I bought it, it would be strictly to sell. Thanks for any help. If you guys think it may have value I will run back today and take some pictures and post them. If not I will just let it go. I did a bit of looking and the holster was very similar to this one. https://simpsonltd.com/german-ww1-lp...ger-holster-1/ |

Likely worth a hundred but many things about leather you ought to know before you lay any money down.
It has the place on the side for the cleaning rod and the holder for the tool in the upper cover inside. Its all there. Do you mean to say the tools are there?

It's in relic condition. Best to leave it for someone else IMO.

I agree with Jerry castile.
The leather is just too cracked in some areas and there is no makers mark either. There are good holsters out there ... they can be found be patient.
