Any watch collectors out there?
Greeting fellow forum member,
I am in need of a watch expert or watch collector to advise me on a very unusual watch. Do we have any watch collectors or watch expert among us Luger lovers? Mike |

Mike, I used to collect and still have mine, but its been years since I had one repaired.
This info is from 2006, but he fixed a watch that belonged to my great-uncle Ed Ueberall The Escapement Fine vintage and antique watch restoration The Escapement Home Page |

Watch
Greetings Ed,
Thanks for the reply, but fortunately I don't need any repair work. I am just looking for someone to ID this stange watch. Notice the position of the stem. Here a few pictures. Mike |

its a Waltham, that sounds silly, but the thing you figure out now is the number of jewels, the size of the watch (size 14, 16, 18, 0 etc) and then what model.
However, yours looks like one of the in-between pocket and wrist watches, they made them still look like a pocket watch, but were designed for the wrist. They even sold huge arm bands, so you could wear your pocket watch on your wrist for a while. I have a book back home that tells you all of this. Take pictures with you and either go to the library or go to Barnes and Nobles and sit, have a coffee and look the watch up (print it in color first). Ed |

Go to the NAWCC website, register with the site(free of charge), and post your pics in the wristwatch section. There are thousands of collectors/watchmakers/clockmaker's/ etc. that will enthusiastically provide quality feedback to a request for information. Good luck, looks like an interesting piece.

Sounds like a "Lugerforum" for watch collectors! Thanks for the info.

Watch/Luger forum
Being a retired auto dealer, don't be surprised what I take in trade for a Luger.
