Default 1938 S/42 straw question?

looking at a 1938 s/42, all matching...but it has been reblued. decent shooter. question - the reblue looks nothing like thor's and i was wondering was there any strawing on this model? trigger, takedown, safety? this one is basically all black.

also the toggle's look like crap. almost all filled in.

They stopped strawing in mid 1937.

Do you mean the logo is almost filled in, or the checkered toggle ends? Are you, perhaps, looking at a gun which has been Russian sheep dipped...er, dip blued?

that also. the toggle ends are filled in and the sides look as though they've been beat with a hammer. and yes most of the stamping is filled in. but my main question was on the trigger, saftey and take down straw.
