Post Luger with 8" Bohler Stahl marked barrel

I have a non-matching Luger with a 8" barrel marked "Bohler Stahl made in Austria". Is this a company that made after market barrels for Lugers?

Welcome to the Lugerforum Clueless... after you read this forum for a few months, we can change your name to Clued...

You premise is correct. The Bohler barrels are very high quality, and it should be a fine and accurate shooter.

How about posting a couple of clear focue photos of your Luger ??

This company also made barrels for DWM a bit before WWI started to supplement supplies during shortages...so can also be considered a subcontractor to DWM (per J. Walter, TLS, page 66). These are usually stamped "Bo26", etc...

I would think such barrels on such pre-WWI lugers may be considered "original"...???

Not sure when the barrels marked as "Bohler Stahl made in Austria" were made/issued. Maybe those are re-barrel parts from a later period in the 1920's or 1930's...???

Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" />

CL, The Bohler barrels marked as yours, were made after WW2 and into the 1950s. I've had them in 9mm x 4",6" & 8" lengths. TH
