Don't forget to ship your lugers up north, better to be safe and sorry.

(And we will send them back after "all" the danger has passed. )

Jim,

Hope Wilma misses you. It looks like it's headed for our Punta Gorda house, but it's a little early to panic. Of course we did sell that house and move inland north of Orlando to a rented house. We did real well on the house sale and we could move anywhere with the $$. We'll be tempted to do that and move north if these dang hurricanes continue busting up the Gulf coast. Hey, take care--I hope you don't have to go provide security over some busted up town next week.

Herb, I lost every tree I had including some of the best citrus I ever tasted. Of course I lost a lot of other stuff but the insurance coverage was great. Fortunately, we were visiting WV last year during Charley so we weren't present for the hurricane and we aren't there now. We were planning to head south this weekend--guess we'll wait a few days.

Al,
I'm not too sure Orlando is out of the mix....I was thinking of sending the wife and kids up that way to my brothers house. (real kids, Lew1.... I have a safe for my Lugers, but thanks)

I'm sure I'm not going to the west coast this time Al, I think there will be enought for me to do around here the way it looks

I guess we'll have to wait and see !

Hey Jim,

Are you there??

He lives somewhere in Palm Beach County (I think). Wilma hit there pretty hard and his power may be out. He will probably give us an eyefull once power is restored.

Glad you guys and your loved ones are all safe...

I chuckle when I travel and folks ask me how I can live with "all those earthquakes" in California...

Those storms are relentless. Hope all in Florida are safe and well. I did 25 years in Kali-fornia and survived the great Loma Prieta quake among others only to move here to Arizona and a storm that our Govenrment is unable to do anything awith: the storm of illegal aliens coming across our borders.

At times i am proud to know that we live in a country great enough for 6000 to 7000 people to risk their lives daily to enter. I, however, need to defer to our Government to patrol our borders, allowing poeple to enter legally, keeping conditions safe not only for us, but the poor people seeking a better life here in America.

You never know just 'who' is comng across those boarders. And they worry about the people coming thru established boarder checkpoints - enough to start requiring passports.

Got power back last night, the gas lines are shorter, and food stores are starting to get deliveries, so as soon as this place gets picked up, its back to normal, trying to find a company who will rebuild my pool enclosures in less than 8 months, fighting with the wife and insurance company about money !

We made it thu another one

Thanks for the prayers !

Jim
