Default German Military Artifacts

This site has some pretty interesting items for sale if you are interested badges, helmets and other german military garb.

Does this explanation of why they have such affordable Nazi rings and badges ring true to anyone? Has anyone done businiess with these folks?

Or is this an example of forgery on a mass scale?

I know the owner of this operation and have visited him. Some couple of years ago I carried a trunk full of junk over to his place to trade for a massive pre WWI bronze that he was selling for $3000. His collection and inventory were mind numbing; he had a naval sword given by the Kaiser to his eldest brother. He had a couple of Garde Kurassier Helmets. He had Nazi stuff the like of which I had never seen outside of the West Point Museum.

He also had fake stuff. He took from me in trade a Polish counterfeit of a rather rare Iron Cross and gave me an excessive amount of credit for it. He also borrowed from me a rare Austrian storm troop badge that he said he wanted to have copied. I never got my original back but have seen hundreds of beautiful copies.

When last I visited him he had a German wife and had set up a rather nice Antique shop dealing in German and Scandanvian antiques and jewelry as well as militaria. Any time I see a dealer offering more than one or two Pour le Merit', I grow cautious. He had several for sale.
