Default How would you compare your guns to cars?

Luger people, please don't be insulted. I once had a 55 two passenger T-Bird (mine was old at the time). It looked reaaaaal neat and went places but cost a whole lot, held only two people with no luggage, and couldn't compare in performance to a late Corvette, Mustang, muscle car, etc. That's how I view the Luger. It's a masterpiece and work of art, but there are better guns for most purposes.

For instance, a generic 1911 (even a GI gun) is like an old pickup truck--crude, ugly, always reliable, and will get a real important job done. A genuine Colt SAA is flashy and showy but impractical like a prewar Caddy or Rolls limo.

Your thoughts?
