Default C96 Red 9 Grips on Bolo Mauseer

Has anyone experimented with putting standard c96 "broomhandle" grips onto a Bolo C96?

I presume that the frame of the bolo mauser would be too small for the standard grips.

My reasoning being that the c96 is one of my favorite firearms to shoot; however, the small grip of the bolo mauser is slightly uncomfortable. I feel like the grip is small enough that I do not have the best control over the firearm when shooting it (generally I am shooting it single handed).

Perhaps I am not used to to the design.I feel like the grip is similar in size to a Ruger Bear-cat and I have no problem shooting that; perhaps it is the 9mm Para combined with the small handle.

Any thoughts or comments are appreciated.
