Chiang Kai-Shek Allied Victory Coin
My Grandfather served in the CBI theater during WWII. He was attached to a medical unit and made two convoy trips over the Ledo Road.
He received this coin at some point after the war ended, maybe before he shipped home, we don't know. If I didn't have that piece of paper I would have no idea what the coin was. I've done some searching and only found a few references to this coin on the internet, which I find odd since there must have been many thousands made. Anyway, I was hoping someone here may have seen one of these coins before or know something more about it beyond what's written there and perhaps get an idea of the value. Thx. |
