Sold today at Amoskeag for $16,000.00 + 15%. A high price for a worn gun with accessories gone AWOL.

serial #874...fine, bright bore...beautiful pistol...retains 95% plus of the original blue finish...checkered wooden grips...are in excellent condition...stock is in fine-near excellent condition...a simply excellent example of Hugo Borchardt's brainchild... Sounds to me like the find of the century...A Borchardt like no other...

Compare No. 900 in Hermann Historica's Auction 61, a much better buy in a far higher condition with all accessories, even with reproduction leather, even at 19,000 Euros plus 23%. By contrast, No. 874 is just a nice shooter.

I was just kidding...
It's really illuminating to read some of the descriptions on auction sites...One of our members consigned a Persian Artillery Luger to RIAC, and although he seemed to get a good final bid on it, he admitted that RIAC had taken liberties with the description he had provided... I don't mind factual descriptions and presumed heritage, but overstating its' condition is a bit much...
