Help with an approximate date?
I just came into my first Luger yesterday and I'm trying to learn as much as I can about it. Based on the information here, I'm pretty sure it's a commercial DWM, but I haven't seen anything to get an approximate date.
Serial # is in the 3000s with a lowercase script k underneath it. From what I understood based on my reading, they went to 4 digit alphabet serial numbers in 1921 starting with the letter i ( then k.) Based on this information, is there any way I can narrow down what year it was produced? I'm still going through the other proofs but there is nothing out of the ordinary. Still, the cool factor is off the charts for me. Thanks! |

Welcome to the forum
Pictures would help a lot, I mean we can say, oh, a k was made around 1925 -- however, the script suffixes are hard to tell many times, so a picture of the front of the frame with suffix would be good. Ed
