Ammo for a Carbine with a 16 inch barrel.
I was advised to use Fiocchi 115 grs, FMJ, 9AP ammo. It shoots good and and runs good. Anyone have any experience with this ammo. Naturally, it needs some energy to perform and exit that barrel.
thanks Jack |

I can't find any definition of what 9AP ammo is; but I've seen nothing of it being armor piercing,
thanx Jack |

A quick Search turned up -
Fiocchi #: 9AP UPC #: 762344001623 Technical Information Caliber: 9mm Luger Bullet Weight: 115 Grain Bullet Style: Full Metal Jacket Case Type: Brass Ballistics Information: Muzzle Velocity: 1250 fps Muzzle Energy: 400 ft. lbs. Product Information Fiocchi Shooting Dynamics ammunition offers great quality and consistency for the high-volume shooter and hunter. Loaded with similar grain weights as the Exacta line, this ammunition is perfect for training and practicing with similar results at a much cheaper price. This allows you to shoot, plink, or hunt as much as possible. This ammunition is new production, non-corrosive, in boxer-primed, reloadable brass cases. My reloading manuals show it to be at the high end of 115gr loadings for 4-5 inch barrels...

My experience with Fiocchi ammo has been that it is a good range ammo, and is a bit more powerful than the standard WWB, and Remington ammo. The Fiocchi 32 Auto HP ammo is the hottest 32 auto ammo that I have found. I have not tried any of the real recent 32 Auto SD rounds though.

Since this thread veered to Fiocchi ammo,I would like to put in a quick plug for it.
My experience with Fiocchi has been very good. I love the fact that they load for lots of odd old calibers,30 luger,30 Mauser, etc. It seems very well made and it is reasonably priced. I just bought some wad cutter ammo in 32 Smith Wesson long, and it was amazingly accurate. The only unusual issue I have had is their pinker 22 long rifle. This ammo is loaded in Mexico and the powder has a odd smell to it! My buddies think it smells like a Mexican brothel. I wouldn't know,of course. The ammo works great, however! Bob

I have had good luck with Fiocchi .30 Luger FMJ in my .30 Lugers.
