Default Need Advice with Luger value (1916 DWM)

I had to over-leverage myself in the latest Rock island auction to get what I wanted.

There was a lot of two lugers, 1) A DWM 1916 w/ some issues (pitting on the frame, a reblue at some point), and 2) My white whale, Erfurt, double dated, DDR rework w/ the Suhl eagles rework proofs.

This specific DDR rework is what I have been searching for copiously for years, but the DWM 1916 I am going to have to sell, to recoup some of what I had to pay to get the lot.

Therefore given that the 1916 DWM could have a sewer pipe, or excellent bore (no idea), the pitting on the upper sides of the frame, and the rebluing, could you guys chime in looking at the pictures, what a fair market value for this shooter is.

The scroll-over function for the close-up is kind of awkward.

THANKS

I don't need to look at the pictures / a shooter luger in 9mm sells from about $450-$750 depending on look appeal and who wants it

At gun shows you find shooters in 9mm and 30 luger for high prices, they don't sell unless the right person comes along

Thanks Ed, that is all I needed to know, I guess "Jackson Armory" on Gunbroker has not got the memo on the going prices, or it could explain why nobody after almost a year has purchased their $1K shooters

I wouldn't slash your wrists just yet. That DWM doesn't look all that bad in their poor photos. It may be a nice shooter and bring a bit more. Post it up here once you get it in your hands. There is always a market for shooters here.
And watch out for those white whales. They can cost you a lot of money.

Thanks David, will do!

I do not have a lot of Lugers in my area, so I have had to rely on Auction Arms and GB to look for the specific one I wanted for years, and GB Luger prices are about 10-15% higher than last year.

Crazy thing is this DDR double date (link below) crested $1K and it still did not reach the reserve, clearly has the russian "X" and possibly the VoPo shield, the seller is clueless-I tried communicating with him, he knows nothing except that he wants a lot of money, and eventually he may well get it:
