many years of service

laying on my desk. a few days ago i bought this old creepy, dingy ugly holster.
first i did not realize what piece of history i have seen on my pc-screen, only the little holes along the spine awake my interest.

an altered artillery holster, interesting .....
i bought it and for our pleasure i post some pictures of his history.

so let me read "in the holsters history", pls correct me if i am wrong ....

--- born 1918, i believe by "C.Holste & Co, München" (thx klaus for your list), with bavarian "Crown over I" first bavarian armycorps marking for a Lp08, without magazine pouch, with cleaning rod pouch and with horizontal loops at the back for mounting it to an shoulder stock.
i think initialy made of brown leather.

--- after the first war it was converted to an police holster, the pouch for the cleaning rod was removed (see the stitching holes along the spine), magazine pouch sewed on, it was shortened, got an upstrap closure (not any longer present, only stiching holes and rivet on flap to bee seen now).
got twin belt loops for standard belt mounting.
according to the pursian directive from 1922 it was stamped S.B.M.III.1.94 ("Schutzpolizei Berlin Mitte, 3 Hundertschaft, Waffe 94"), later on restamped according pursian directive of 1932 with S.B.2879 ("Schutzpolizei Berlin"), the old S.B.M.III, x-ed out.

--- next i belief to be able to read, is the presence of an removed norwegian belt mounting. so the holster was possibly used by the army during the war, or used by the german police in the occupied norwegen. my historical knowledge does not suffice to answer this question
what i belief is, that the holster was in norwegen at the last days of the 2nd world war and the weapon/holster was occupied by the norwegian army after abandoning of the germans.

--- it was converted to the norwegian belt mounting i don't know how long the holster served then in norwegen, a general timeframe will be until 1970. see also http://forum.lugerforum.com/showthre...wegian+holster

--- after his end of active live he was reconverted to twin belt loops, holes of the norwegian mounting were closed

--- 2013 it came to austria, to tell us about his nearly 100 years of live.

anyone who can help me with some details, i am interested in proper dating of his servicelive end. also i intend to buy an unaltered norwegian style conversion with the metal clips for the us-army belt
