WWII era times
I've yet to get Jan Still's book on Nazi era lugers. Could anyone tell me the date and model ranges for this era? Thanks

Re: WWII era times
The era properly starts with the K dates (1934) and ends with the post war Kreighoffs (1945/46).
During the period, production was done by Mauser for the Army and Kreighoff for the Luftwaffe. Naval pistols were Mauser production. Tom |

Re: WWII era times
Tom,
do the "sneak" Lugers fit in here anywhere? What would be their year? Big Norm |

Re: WWII era times
Hi Norm,
IMHO, sneaks are more properly considered Weimar-era, altho one could argue that they should be considered "transitional" pieces. Me thinks sometimes we pole vault over mouse droppings in an effort to be more arcane than is really necessary.. Tom |
