Default Attention Vlim Mauser Parabellum Ques.

Vlim, the top of my main spring guide just snapped, the gun is new and shot like 10 times, odd, anyways, will a conventional P-08 spring guide fit in this thing, (Or is the 06/70 different?) serial 10.2098 mauser Parabellum. Really wierd, The top part /the hook that grabs the recoil lever is gone, what do I do for this part, I am not looking forward to compressing this spring to put this in, and the grip safety thing looks like it is going to make it more difficult. So much for new but anything can happen. if P-08 style guide will not work, how do I get this part?

I think that Tom Heller bought out the Mauser spare parts when they closed things down. Check with him to see if he has the mainspring guide.

When you reinstall the guide, there should be a hole in the base of the guide. I use a screwdriver through that hole to get added leverage during compression of the spring. It wasn't that difficult to compress and control.

I'd check with Tom Heller first for an original one, if that doesn't work, any Swiss or P08 spring guide should work as well.
