Wow, they were exceptionally well preserved. I am amazed. It must be a swamp composed of WD-40 or perhaps Ballistol Lake.

probably very little oxygen in the waters. back in the mid 70s we used to metal detect in Okinawa and dug up quite allot of relics. jim
