Default When did the German Police stop using Shakos?

So, when did the German Police stop using Shako helmets as a uniform item? I can see they used them through WW2. But don't see where they used them past that. Am I mistaken?

I have this Shako to go with my 1940 Mauser Banner Eagle L Police Luger. It is minty with one moth hole. As to the question, I believe the field caps and peaked visor hats continued after the war for German police, but not the Shako.

The Germans continued to wear the Tschako well past the end of WWII. Both the West German Polizei and the East German Volkspolizei wore Tschakos into the end of the cold war.

Here is an example of a West Berlin Police Tschako from the 1950s.
