Default 1942 Eagle L Mauser Banner

Just received this one this week and thought that I would share it with the membership. Many thanks to Ed Tinker who has been kind enough to take the time to arrange my scans so that they could be properly displayed here.
I've been negotiating the purchase price of this pistol for several weeks and finally got a position that I could live with last week. It's an honest 98%+ blue with almost zero signs of wear. A little wear on the left side of the muzzle and side rail, but that's about it. Grip straps are unworn, the bore is a mirror and the area on the rear of the receiver above the lanyard loop shows little evidence of the pistol being fired, but a very few times. The grips are numbered to the gun, but the Type 2 magazine is incorrect. It is a Code 42 marked police magazine with the number 2 and a unit number, or pistol number of 682. The pistol has been tucked away in storage since 1975 and the last owner indicated it had been stored away long before he bought it too. All in all, I'm a happy camper with this one.
Lyn

Anytime Lyn, surprised no one commented, as this is really a nice police Banner!

We would have said something. But the old " GREEN EYED MONSTER" got us. Very nice! Wish it was mine.

That is a Beautiful pistol!! Someone took extremely good care of it. I'll take 2 dozen of them, but only if you gift wrap.
