When we have to rely on the media, no one knows what the facts are. I think everyone's polite expression of their opinion and allowing others to hold their own opinion is a real credit to this forum.

The time for her friends and family to have mourned was 15 years ago when her brain died.

What made a young (presumably healthy) young woman starve herself and force herself to vomit until her heart no longer had enough potassium to function? That is when she needed the help of her family and friends.

This tragedy became a circus because some politians saw it as way to drum up support. Tom Delay "pulled the plug" on his father when he was in a similar situation. George Bush as govenor of Texas signed a law giving a hospital the right to do so if a family cannot pay the bill. Being poor in Texas is now a capital crime with a hospital bean counter as judge, jury and executioner. This was a private tragedy that was exploited by self-serving people.

All excellent points, both sides stated, I will close this, as it could easily go waaaay off topic, away from lugers.
