Default s/n question ?

Dears,

Is it normal to see a different style of cpher types used for the s/n stamping ?

For example the figures used for the s/n on the front of the frame are different than at other places ?

Warmest regards,
Kris

Hi Kris,

There may indeed be some differences, depending on maker, time, type and location.

Needless to say, the cyphers used in one number should match

There is also a minor difference in placement of the stampings, depending on maker, model, time, etc...

Hi G.,

Thanks a lot. I think i'm going a bit parano¯d

Then it's ok on my Luger, a 1936 S/42, as far as i can tell.

Thanks & best regards,

Kris
